DENNIS MUNYENDO . PART 1

Have you ever asked yourself if Kenya had ever produced or had a maestro and genius in the midfield who would be compared to Iniesta, cause of his killer passes in the midfield, ability to control the game especially the intense ones from the comfort of the middle of the field, scoring goals and even assisting in the goal scoring? Then ZIZO (a name he was given by Mukumu Boys students cause of great coaching skills and compared to Zinedine Zidane the Real Madrid coach who is also reffered to as ZIZO) formally known as Dennis Munyendo is the ace retired Kenyan footballer who was born in Bumini Village in Kakamega County on 28th September 1964.

Dennis Munyendo is well remembered for playing for the AFC Leopards and the Harambee Stars . Munyendo's love for football grew when he joined Saint Peters Mumias Primary in Mumias County. After completing his primary education he joined Musingu High School in the early 80's where his love for football grew even more though his parents were strict on him to concentrate 100% on his studies and let football go but he made sure he does what his parents want of which is what he also wanted and still managed to create time to be in the field to play football.

Munyendo later joined Kisumu Breweries where he played for a short period of time but it's clear and well known that the only way to be the best is by learning from the best. When Muyendo joined Kakamega High School which the football team goes by the name the Green Commandos which was coached by Chris Makokha he had no other choice but to become the best cause the coach was considered the best coach in the Kakamega region.
