MIKE ORIGI PART 2

Mike Okoth played for Shabana Fc from 1984 - 1988 at the Kenyan Super League. Mike also got the chance to play at the Cecafa Cup in 1989 for Kenya in a team 'B' which was his first international call up, when he left Shabana.

 He later joined Kenya Breweries from 1989 -1991. In 1990 Mike was called up in the National team to feature in the AFCON in 1990. Mike later went to join AL Bashar a team in Oman in 1991 - 1992 where he continued to prove that he is a good player.  After playing for Kenya in the Africa Cup of Nations in 1992, where Mike left AL Boshar to go to Belgium.

 Mike's career became even more successful after he joined KV Oostende. In KV Oostende Mike featured in 71 matches and scored 11goals. Mike had a spell for about 4years in the club. In 1996 the rate at which Mike was soring improved via games he featured in after he joined KRC Harelbeke in 1996 - 1998. Mike made an appearance in 56 matches and scored 11goals. He joined Belgium giants Racing Club Genk in 1998 where he featured in 81games and scored 20goals. Playing for Genk was not only the best thing that happened as he managed to win the 1998 - 1999 Belgium First Division and the 1990 - 2000 Belgium Cup. In 2002 Mike left Genk to join Molenbeek, where he featured in 27games, scoring 10goals.



 In 2002 Mike left Molenbeek to join Heusden-Zolder and made an appearance of 57games scoring 9 goals. Mike left Heusden-Zolder in 2004 but got a call up to the National Team in the same year to feature in the African Cup Of Nations. After the international duty, Mike joined Belgium third division side, Tongeren and featured in 55 games scoring 25 goals. At the end of his contract, Mike decided in 2006 to retire and end his football career. Mike featured for Kenya in 120 International games scoring 28 goals.
