DENNIS MUNYENDO PART 2

(Coach Makokha)

Coach Makokha away from the field played a big role in making sure Munyendo passes his form six exam and eventually it lead to Munyendo joining Kenyatta University from 1986-1989, Though Munyendo had a tough time balancing his studies and football Coach Makokha made sure he had to work hard in the field and even harder and smart in school. Munyendo passing his exam and being at the peak of his football form and career was not only the best thing that happened in his life but also while in Kenyatta University he managed to join one of the Kenya Premier League giants AFC Leopards.

Munyendo  had a great time in his AFC career where he had a couple of encounters with their bitter rival Gor Mahia. Munyendo and his teammates managed to clinch maximum points though he admitted that Gor Mahia was the toughest club he has ever played against but in the end, he had learned a lot and after joining AFC Leopards he was called up to the Kenya National Team  in 1989 where he also mentioned his toughest encounter was against Algeria. When Munyendo was done with his University education he got posted to Kabras as a teacher at Tande Secondary so this meant his life at AFC Leopards was to come to an end cause of the distance which was long.
